Lenora Doo-Lam, Association President, met up with the alumni members of PolyUA, Sydney, Australia, on March 29, while on a cruise tour there. Mrs. Lenora Lam was hosted by Mr. David Lam, current President of her counter part, their Hon. Secretary, Bosco Lau, and a few of their members. In attendance was also Mr. Sidney Wong, Past Director of AADO of Hong Kong PolyU, who was also on visit in Sydney. It was a happy evening of dinner at a restaurant in Chatswood, the biggest suburb north of Sydney, Australia.
2018 Chinese Year Spring Banquet
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Association (Northern California) hosted a Dim Sum Luncheon on Oct. 21, 2017 at the Champagne Seafood Restaurant in San Mateo, California. Representatives from the Hong Kong University Alumni Association as well as Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Alumni Association (NC) also joined.
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Association (Northern California) held it’s Annual Fall Hike on October 21, 2017. The hike was held in the Coyote Point Park in San Mateo, California.
President Lenora Doo-Lam, Association Chief Financial Officer, Colin Chui; Association Secretary, Monica Chan, of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Association (Northern California), together with friends from other alumni associations affiliated with different universities from Hong Kong, attended the celebration of the “20th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administration Region” on June 23, 2017. The celebration, together with a reception hosted by The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, San Francisco, was held at the San Francisco War Memorial & Performing Arts Center.
Yijin Seminar – June 2017
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Association(Northern California) held its seminar on “Comprehensive Yijin Exercise” on June 25, 2017 at the Bollinger Hills Cabana in San Ramon, California. The seminar was very well received by Association members and friends in attendance, who were members of other alumni associations affiliated with universities from Hong Kong.
2017 Spring Banquet
Association Members participated in a joint activity with OAACUHK(NC)香港中文大學海外校友會(北加州) on March 25, 26, 2017 on a Historical/Cultural Tours, under the tutelage and guide of Dr. Sonia Ng. Members of both Associations toured the last-remaining three sites of Chinese temples in Oroville, Weaverville and Marysville in California (all with a history of more than 150 years), learning about the life of early Chinese workers. Lake Shasta was part of the itinerary too.
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Association (Northern California ) held its annual Christmas Luncheon on Dec. 4, 2016 at the hotpot restaurant “Little Dipper 錢都” at 3870 Fallin Road, Dublin, CA, followed by a seminar presented by Wai Man ‘Raymond’ Chan. CFP, at 2949 Morgan Dr., San Ramon, CA.
Our Association President, Lenora Doo-Lam, travelled on October 7, 2016 to Vancouver, Canada to attend the 20th Anniversary Celebration Dinner of “The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Western Canada) Association, where Prof. Timothy W. On Oct. 4, 2016, some of our Association members attended a dinner meeting hosted by Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, SF, to meet the Secretary for Innovation and Technology, Mr. Nicholas W. Yang, JP. Dinner meeting was held at Chef Chu’s Restaurant in Los Alto. Members of OAACHUHK(NC), HKUAA and HKUSTAA(NC) were also in attendance.

The Association held its Ergonomic Health Seminar to its general members on May 22, 2016 at the Bollinger Hills Clubhouse in San Ramon, California, delivered by the Association Secretary, Tiffany Tang, who is a licensed Occupational Therapist. In attendance were also members from HKUAA香港大學校友會, OAACUHK(NC) 香港中文大學海外校友會(北加州)and HKUSTAA香港科技大學校友會.
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Association (Northern California) held a joint function of Spring Hike & Dim Sum Lunch on April 17, 2016 with Hong Kong University Alumni Association, Northern California (HKUAA NorCal) at Sawyer Camp Trail (South) San Mateo, Califirnia. A dim sum lunch followed at China Village Seafood Restaurant at Belmont. Members from OAACUHK(NC)香港中文大學海外校友會(北加州) and HKUSTAA Northern California Chapter 香港科技大學校友會北加州分會also participated.

2014 Christmas Gathering
It was another good year for PolyUA (NC)! We had a very joyful Annual Christmas Buffet Luncheon on Dec. 6, 2014 at “The Fountain Room Restaurant of Fairmont Hotel, San Jose, California”, where 15 of our members/family (including majority of Board Members) attended. Beautiful gifts/memorabilia items from AADO of PolyU were given to attendees as raffle prizes.
